Non-Negotiable Skills™ Series (2020)
In 2020, I joined Cambridge and was introduced to their Non-Negotiable Skills series. As the name suggests, these books focus on building essential reading, writing, math, and science skills that high schoolers need—not just for college, but for their careers and life.
While the primary audience is middle schoolers to early high schoolers, the series is designed to be valuable for learners of all ages and backgrounds. With that in mind, we aimed to create visuals that reflect adaptability and inclusivity through thoughtful imagery and design.
On the left is the Original NNS Series Cover (2019), and on the right is the redesigned version for a more captivating look (2020), with the bottom three covers as part of the initial redesign and the top two new additions created in 2024.

Non-Negotiable Skills Spanish Bridge is an additional series we created in 2024, specifically designed for bilingual students in Texas. With recent trends moving away from photo-based book covers toward bold, eye-catching graphics, I proposed a fresh visual approach for this book—an illustrated concept of the "Spanish Bridge," as shown. While this remained an early draft, it was an exciting step in exploring the visual direction for the series.
AccelePrep™ for the New SAT® (2023)

AccelePrep™, as the name suggests, is a series designed to accelerate learning by focusing on essentials in a fast and effective way. While working on the new SAT edition, I aimed to visually capture the idea of "acceleration" to engage students even before they opened the book. I illustrated a running figure with a motion trail to convey speed, a concept echoed throughout the book with dynamic callout icons.
